MKC Heroes were at the heart of Plymouth’s Armed Forces Week flag raising ceremony, today.

Standard bearers, Alan; Harry and Lewis were on parade with the Royal Navy, Army and RAF Cadets, as the Armed Forces Day flag was raised.

The boys met the Lord Mayor, Commodore Shipperley; the High Sherriff of Devon and the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, who inspected the parade.

After the parade, the MKC Heroes Armed Forces Badge competition winners were announced. Runners up were Olivia and Leon with winner, Evan, receiving his prize from the Lord Mayor.

Evan, Leon and Olivia held the Armed Forces Day flag for the group photograph that signalled the start of the week of activity.

The badge will be on sale on Armed Forces Day from the MKC Heroes marquee in the Royal Navy village.
