June 13th. saw Heroes joining the Royal Navy and the United States Navy to lay wreaths at the unique Door of Unity Service in Plymouth Minster Church of Saint Andrew.

During the war of 1812, Commander William Allen, of the American Navy, was captured when his ship was in a battle with a Royal Navy vessel and he died from his wounds. Another sailor, midshipman Richard Delphey,  died in the battle. The British Navy honoured these men who were buried in Plymouth. Every year, Plymouth remembers this event and takes note of the friendship that followed between the United Kingdom and the USA. MKC Heroes from St. Pauls RC School joined VIPs to lay a wreath at the Door of Unity, where the American sailors are remembered.
