Members of MKC Heroes Plymouth took over Plymouth Council Chamber last Friday as they led a question and answer session with several important people.

Members of Parliament for Plymouth: Gary Streeter; Oliver Colvile and Johnny Mercer came along and were supported by local councillors, Terri Beer and Glenn Jordan. The Lord Mayor of Plymouth, Councillor Pauline Murphy and her consort, Councillor Brian Vincent, both great supporters of MKC Heroes, were there to oversee the event.

The afternoon began with a presentation to the politicians from the Ambasadors to explain about the MKC Heroes work. The Ambassadors chaired the question time like professionals and questions from the school groups were very challenging, including Brexit questions and those linked to better support for our Armed Forces.

Guests from the Royal Marines, Lympstone; the Naval Families Ffederation and 29 Commando Royal Artillery joined the afternoon activities Along with a very special visitor, the National Chair of MKC Heroes, Mr Roger Garrett.

The politicians were very impressed with the questions from members and the Lord Mayor said that MKC Heroes were the best behaved group she had presided over in the Chamber.
